FREE PREVIEW FOR GUIDE FOR INSOMNIA AND NIGHTMARES

You could be thinking, “I don’t need his help with my insomnia. I just drink a bottle of wine, take a couple of sleeping pills, and I’m out for the night.”

Do you mean you wouldn’t prefer to sleep naturally and independently? If it doesn’t concern you that you have to use chemicals in order to get a good night’s sleep, you could just pass on reading and using this Guide. You might first wish to consider what you would do if the building you are sleeping in were to be on fire during the night when you are hardly in condition to easily awaken, and run for your life, let alone help save others, such as those you love and care about.

And, what about nightmares? Do you have much trouble with them? Do you have recurrent nightmares? How much fun can it be to frequently dream that you’re falling from a height, or that there’s a snake in your bed, or that someone is chasing you who wants to kill you? Some people have recurrent nightmares about missing school classes, or somehow being out in public with no clothing on.

You may be thinking, “Can he really get rid of my bad dreams?” No, I can’t get rid of your nightmares, but I can show you how you can. I don’t mean that you will never have another bad or unpleasant dream as long as you live, but I can show you how to avoid recurrent nightmares, and how to eliminate almost all nightmares.

All of our behavior, all of the habits we have, even how we manage our sleeping and dreaming, slavishly follow our most strongly held beliefs on a particular subject.

First, let us look at the beliefs of the person who suffers from insomnia and nightmares, and the behavior and results that those beliefs cause.

BELIEFS THAT LEAD TO CONTINUING INSOMNIA AND NIGHTMARES

I cannot sleep naturally. I am a person who simply is not capable of normal sleep. I believe—I am certain—that I would not sleep without my booze and/or sleeping medicine. So I don’t sleep naturally and I don’t even wait to see if I can. I take my booze and/or sleeping medicine every night before I go to bed.

My insomnia is a condition unto itself, not connected with other issues and problems of my life. And, even if my insomnia were related to problems, stresses, and issues in my life, there would be nothing I could do about it. So I keep on using chemicals for sleep.

The way to treat insomnia is by taking enough sleeping medication and/or alcohol, tranquilizers, or narcotics to put me to sleep. So I don’t sleep naturally, and my insomnia.
