FREE PREVIEW FOR GUIDE FOR SMOKING

You have chosen this subject whether it is your own smoking you are concerned about, or the smoking of someone else you care about. If it’s someone else’s smoking, it would be a good idea for you to read this material first, then pass it on to that person.

If you’re considering trying to give up your own smoking, you may now want to say to me sarcastically, “That’s what I like about you—total modesty. You think you can cure everything. I might as well toss my cigarettes out the window. Here you come!”

Look. Houdini I’m not. I’m just trying to use good coaching strategy. Without motivated players, nothing is going to be cured. Only you, the player, can score any points—assuming you decide you wish to do so.

You may have tried once, or many times, to stop smoking. Maybe you succeeded for a time, then went back to smoking again. If you’ve tried nicotine gum, prescriptions, stop-smoking clinics, or otherwise invested your time and money, you may well be reluctant to believe anything can really result in you permanently becoming a non-smoker.

If you have read the WELCOME to the PersonalProblemSolver.com (“PPS”) website, you know that the BEST way to change personal results involves making use of the fact that what we believe about a subject, determines what we do about that subject. If you believe the building you’re in is on fire, you stop what you’re doing and get out now! If you don’t believe it’s on fire, and you believe that you have no other reason to leave, you will stay in that building. Your behavior, whether you leave the building or not, is determined by your belief, whether or not the building is actually on fire. Change your belief, and your behavior will change; and then you’ll get different results.

My job is to keep everything clear and simple. I show what the beliefs are that allow a problem to continue for those who believe that way, and then describe the beliefs of those who don’t have that problem. Finally I present a system, for people who want to use it, that enables them to enrich and substitute their belief systems by adopting beliefs that lead to the behavior, the habits, and the results they really want. The problem behaviors are eliminated and the benefits of so doing are reaped by the people who have used the system.

The system, for those who have not used it before, is called The BEST System, Belief Enrichment and Substitution Training. It’s a powerful tool for those who use it.

But there is a catch! Not every smoker will look at smoking as a problem, for example. Not every overweight person will want to lose weight. And, so on. Even of those who do see the particular habit pattern of behavior as a problem, not all of those people will want to bother doing anything about it. People have to be ready to make changes, or none will.
